THE HOTEL BRANTÔME EN PERIGORD
Founded in 1978, with the aim of creating a base from which to explore the region's charms, the Moulin de l'Abbaye comprises three historical houses, with the rooms being split between the three buildings.
The old Mill is the main building of the hotel and houses Reception as well as the Moulin de l'Abbaye restaurant. The mill originally milled the town's grain, weaved it's wool, and by the turn of the last century, provided electricity for the townsfolk.
The Miller's House, sits alongside the Mill and the Abbey, looking out over the river and with caves to the rear.
The Abbot's House, dating from the 13th Century and once home to Pierre de Bourdeille, abbot and lord of Brantôme, is located on the other side of the river, looking back at the Mill and reached by a short stroll over the right-angled Pont Coudé.
Bordering the Dronne, you will also find our gourmet restaurant, as well as our two traditional bistrot, Au Fil de l'Eau, for fish lovers, and Au Fil du Temps, for lovers of regional cooking.
